Google seems to be testing out Digg-like features which would allow users to rate and comment search results. Building social features around it’s search is to many the next step for Google. This would essentially add human-powered indexing to Google’s engine — huge. See the video.

Microsoft announces the New Xbox Experience — this is a complete redesign and we now have Mii like Avatars. While not as original as the “Blade” UI it does seem much more instantly graspable.

PlanningWiz is a well-built online app for building floor-plans. While I don’t love the look of the interface it actually works very well. Some clever UI ideas in there.

Yahoo! is opening up it’s search engine with BOSS (Build Your Own Search Service). This means that anyone can now tap into it’s search technology with nearly no restriction. Hakia and Me.dium are two of the early adopters.
